Long Thread Media creates inspiring educational content related to spinning, weaving, and needle arts. We’re a small, independent media company with an old soul, founded in 2019 as the publishers of Handwoven, Little Looms, PieceWork, and Spin Off magazines.
We strive to offer an exceptionally supportive work environment, including mostly remote work, flexible PTO, a 401k with match, and other company- paid benefits. We come to work every day to create beautiful media, tell important stories, inspire fiber artists, and take great care of our customers.
The Editor directs the content and focus of PieceWork magazine and needlework content for other projects and products. The Editor also assigns, edits, and writes content for our digital platforms, advises on online education, and contributes to new initiatives, following the company’s priorities and the Editorial Director’s guidance. This is a fully remote position with occasional required travel.
